Joe Starkey's new column about Bob Nutting is amazingly different from what we're used to reading about Bob Nutting. A lot of Pirates fans would have greeted this with howls of derision even four months ago. Three months of baseball don't mean all that much in the grand scheme, as anyone who watched what happened after the first three months of 2011 or the first three months of 2012 can attest. The Pirates still haven't had a winning season, and there's a long road ahead. It's too early to throw a parade. But there's very little in Starkey's piece that I disagree with, honestly. 2013 has been great so far, and the future looks bright.
