Lambo and Glasnow keep doing what they do

Altoona was off on Monday.

-- Indianapolis came back from a 7-0 deficit against Syracuse, but still lost, 9-8. Ethan Hollingsworth got roughed up in his first start for Indy, allowing seven runs, five earned, in five innings. Jared Hughes threw a scoreless inning, giving up two hits and fanning two. Duke Welker was the loser, allowing two runs in two innings on two hits. He fanned two. Andrew Lambo (pictured) went 2-5 with his 13th AAA HR and four RBIs. Lambo now has 27 HRs and 85 RBIs total. Unfortunately, he only plays positions where the Pirates don't need any help, like RF and 1B. Lucas May went 3-4, Chase d'Arnaud 2-4 and Matt Hague 2-5.

-- Bradenton lost to Dunedin, 6-4. Robby Rowland struggled again, giving up all the runs, five of them earned, in four and a third innings. Willy Garcia went 3-4 with a double and Jose Osuna hit his fifth HR. Stetson Allie went 0-4 and struck out three times. Gift Ngoepe played short, having officially swapped roster spots with Alen Hanson, who's now with Altoona. I'm guessing this won't help his argument for a 40-man roster spot this fall.

-- West Virginia hammered Delmarva, 9-3. Tyler Glasnow had a pretty standard Glasnow start. He gave up only one hit in five innings, but it was a HR following an error, so he was charged with two runs, one earned. He walked two and fanned six. Ryan Hafner allowed one run, also on a HR, in two innings. He gave up two hits, walked none and fanned two. Dilson Herrera went 2-5 with a double. Josh Bell didn't play.

-- Jamestown had a typical Jamestown game against Auburn, scoring seven runs in the 9th, all of them unearned, and pounding out 15 hits in an 8-4 win. Erich Weiss went 3-5 with two doubles. Michael Fransoso, Danny Collins, Elvis Escobar and Jimmy Rider all had two hits apiece. The Jammers as a team are now hitting .290 in a league that's hitting .245. Former first baseman Jared Lakind got the win with two scoreless innings of relief, striking out four.

-- The GCL Pirates gave up six runs in the 7th and lost to the Phillies, 8-3. Candon Myles went 2-3. Austin Meadows went 1-4 with a double and a walk. Reese McGuire didn't play. Wei-Chung Wang started off with four hitless innings before the bullpen caved in.

-- The DSL Pirates1 lost to the Marlins, 6-3. Pablo Reyes had a two-run triple.

-- The DSL Pirates2 beat the Mets1, 8-3. Alexis Bastardo went 2-4 with his first HR and four runs scored. Jhoan Herrera went 3-5 with a double, a triple and three RBIs. Michael De La Cruz went 1-4 with a walk.
