The Cubs probably won't trade Nate Schierholtz after all, writes the Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo. (Cafardo has sources nationally, in case you're wondering -- it's not that odd that he'd be reporting this.) If so, that's too bad -- as I've said, Schierholtz represented a good balance of meeting the Pirates' needs while not being likely to cost them much.
David DeJesus and a few others are still on the outfield market, and of course there's still the possibility that the Cubs will deal Schierholtz after all.
