Walker placed on DL; Harrison recalled

The Pirates announced that Neil Walker has been placed on the 15-day disabled list (retro July 7th) with right side soreness.

Josh Harrison has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis to take Walker's place on the 25 man roster. He is expected to be at PNC Park for tonight's game.

Walker felt discomfort in Saturday's game vs. the Cubs and was removed from the game in the 5th inning. Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said Sunday that the injury occurred during Walker's final at bat.
