Michael McKenry signs with Rockies

I missed this yesterday. Michael McKenry has signed a minor-league deal with the Rockies that will pay $750,000 if he makes the team. McKenry came through the minors with the Rockies and made his big-league debut with them in 2010.

Given McKenry's inconsistent offense and poor 2013 defense, it's no surprise the Pirates let him go. He had more than his fair share of big moments as a Buc, though, like the huge homer off Carlos Marmol in 2011 and his two-homer game against the Reds in early 2012.
