Pirates defeat Yankees

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

I can't remember if I wrote recaps for all the spring training games last year, but I don't like doing it, because it's really just typing out expanded box scores for no reason. But it's the first irrelevant game of the year, so here goes: The Pirates won 6-5 as Tony Sanchez homered and knocked in three runs. Chris McGuiness went 2-for-2 and knocked in a run. And Francisco Liriano allowed two runs in just one inning pitched, which I'm sure means we should be very, very concerned.

Baseball, everybody!
