Here's the Pirates' lineup for their 8:10 game in Milwaukee. It's what's become more or less the standard lineup for when the Bucs are facing a righty, who in this case is Wily Peralta.
Starling Marte LF
Travis Snider RF
Andrew McCutchen CF
Pedro Alvarez 3B
Russell Martin C
Neil Walker 2B
Travis Ishikawa 1B
Jordy Mercer SS
Francisco Liriano P
A couple notes:
-P- Chris Stewart is headed to Indianapolis to finish off his rehab assignment. That means he'll be back soon, with Tony Sanchez going back to the minors.
-P- The White Sox yesterday acquired Gorkys Hernandez from the Royals for cash. It's easy to forget that Hernandez was once a key piece in the Nate McLouth deal, not just a throw-in. As I recall, most people thought Charlie Morton was the most important player, probably in part because he was closest to the majors. But Hernandez was a pretty good prospect in his own right, having hit fairly well while playing good defense in Double-A as a 21-year-old. Oh well. He's now been traded five times.
