Pirates MiLB recap: 5/26/14

-P- Indianapolis lost 6-2 to Buffalo. Adam Wilk allowed four runs over 4.2 innings of work. Chris McGuiness (above) went 2-for-4 with a double. Gregory Polanco entered the game as a pinch-hitter and grounded into a double play.

-P- Altoona lost to Erie, 4-3. Nick Kingham had a strong start, pitching seven innings and allowing two runs while striking out four and walking one. The Curve only managed four hits, although one was a solo homer by Alen Hanson, his sixth homer of the year.

-P- Bradenton was off.

-P- West Virginia beat Rome in a 14-6 blowout. The Power didn't hit any home runs and had just four extra-base hits, but Harold Ramirez, JaCoby Jones, Reese McGuire and Elvis Escobar all had two-hit games, and Erich Weiss and Danny Collins had three each. The Power had 16 hits and walked six times. Buddy Borden allowed three runs over five innings, striking out six and walking none.
