Pirates sign Kevin Krause, David Andriese

Robert Mayer-US PRESSWIRE

The Pirates have announced that they've signed ninth-round pick Kevin Krause and 30th-rounder David Andriese. Terms of the signings weren't disclosed, although Andriese, a senior outfielder from UC-Riverside, probably didn't get much.

Krause, a catcher from Stony Brook, was the last pick from the Pirates' first 10 rounds to come to terms. His bonus pool figure was $143,600. With several bonus figures unreported, most notably Connor Joe's, it's unclear how much bonus pool space, if any, the Pirates have left to sign later picks like 11th-rounder Gage Hinsz. Still, it's nice that most of the Pirates' key picks have been signed so soon after the draft. Here are the picks with whom the Pirates have agreed to terms so far.
