Pirates promote Jaff Decker, option Brandon Cumpton

The Pirates have promoted outfielder Jaff Decker and optioned Brandon Cumpton, who pitched yesterday. With Francisco Liriano set to return this weekend, the Pirates won't need another starter until after the All-Star break.

Decker has hit .266/.371/.414 for Indianapolis, which isn't that inspiring, but he'll give the Pirates another outfield option in the absence of Starling Marte, who is on the bereavement list. The Pirates will likely make a roster move involving either Decker or Matt Hague when Liriano returns.
