-- Indianapolis lost to Columbus, 9-5. Casey Sadler allowed two runs on seven hits over six innings. He walked three and struck out none. The Legend of John Holdzkom took a bit of a hit, as Holdzkom got scored upon for the first time as a Pirate. He gave up three runs on four hits while recording only one out. Chase d'Arnaud and Blake Davis each had three hits.
-- Zack Dodson gave up seven runs to Harrisburg in the 1st inning as Altoona lost by the same score as Indianapolis. Surprisingly, Dodson stayed in after his disastrous start and managed to throw four scoreless innings. Dan Gamache went 2-4 with his first AA HR and three RBIs. Gift Ngoepe also was 2-4 and Alen Hanson 2-5 with a double. Stetson Allie was 0-3 with two walks.
-- Bradenton lost to Tampa, 4-2. Starter Chad Kuhl had to exit after one inning due to a long rain delay. Matt Benedict relieved and gave up only one run in five innings. Ryan Hafner inherited a 2-1 lead but gave up three in the 8th. The Marauders had only three hits. Barrett Barnes was 0-4.
-- West Virginia lost to Greensboro, 6-3. Dovydas Neverauskas gave up four runs in five innings. Edwin Espinal was 2-3 with two doubles and a walk. Reese McGuire was 1-3 with a double and a walk. JaCoby Jones was 1-4 and Austin Meadows 0-4. Jones now has a 15-game hitting streak.
-- Jamestown won its third straight, beating Vermont, 6-2. Krause went 2-4 overall and the HRs gave him five on the year. He's now hitting 290/370/677. Michael Suchy was 2-3 with a double and a walk, and David Andriese was 2-4. Andrew Lambo continued his rehab, going 0-3 with a walk. Starter Alex McRae gave up two runs on four hits and no walks in five innings. He struck out two.
-- Bristol won its third straight, beating Kingsport, 8-2. Buckner (pictured) was 3-4 with a double, his third straight three-hit game. Those three games have followed a three-game stretch in which he fanned ten times. Edgardo Munoz was 2-4 with a double, his second HR, and three RBIs. Enyel Vallejo was 2-4 with a triple and Pablo Reyes also 2-4. Mervin Del Rosario got the win with three and two-thirds scoreless innings of relief.
