The Orioles have acquired Andrew Miller for pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez. Rodriguez, a very good pitching prospect who's currently holding his own (if not thriving) for Double-A Bowie as a 21-year-old, was a lot to give up, but Miller was probably the best reliever on the market. The Pirates had previously been connected to Miller.
If you'll remember, the Mets were trying to get Rodriguez for Ike Davis last offseason.
