-- Indianapolis beat Louisville, 8-2. Rafael Perez gave up two runs in six and a third innings. He allowed five hits and a walk, and struck out three. Chris McGuiness and Jose Tabata each went 2-3. McGuiness had a double and his eighth HR. Andrew Lambo was 0-4. Elias Diaz made his AAA debut, going 0-2 with a walk and a hit batsman.
-- Andy Vasquez tied the game with a HR in the top of the 9th, but Collin Balester gave up a walkoff, three-run shot in the bottom half as Altoona lost to Erie, 7-4. Starter AJ Morris gave up three runs on seven hits in four innings. Joely Rodriguez allowed one in three innings of relief. Vasquez was 2-4 and the HR was his tenth, which doubles his career high. Alen Hanson was 2-4 and the rehabbing Clint Barmes 2-3. Josh Bell remains out of the lineup, although he's not on the DL.
-- Bradenton scored all its runs in the 8th in a 5-2 win over St. Lucie. John Kuchno gave up just three hits and three walks in seven innings. He allowed two runs and struck out two. Jordan Steranka went 2-4 with a double and drove in three of the Marauders' runs. Raul Fortunato was 2-3.
-- West Virginia scored nine runs in the last two innings to blow out Lexington, 13-3. Wyatt Mathisen (pictured) was 4-5 with two doubles and Michael Fransoso 3-4 with two triples and four runs scored. Jones connected for his 22nd HR, a grand slam in the 9th. Overall, he was 3-4 with five RBIs. Austin Meadows had a double in six at-bats and Reese McGuire was 1-4. Luis Heredia gave up three runs, one earned, on nine hits in five innings. He walked one and struck out three. Henry Hirsch fanned six in three innings of relief.
-- Jamestown edged Batavia, 4-3. Jordan Luplow drove in three of the runs, going 2-3 with his fifth HR. The other run came from David Andriese's first pro HR. Elvis Escobar was 3-4, raising his average to .326. Starter Alex McRae gave up three runs on eight hits in six innings.
-- Bristol beat Pulaski, 3-1. Jake Burnette threw four shutout innings, giving up three hits and no walks, and fanning four. Colter Moore, a recently signed non-drafted free agent, made his pro debut, allowing an unearned run in an inning and a third. Trae Arbet was 2-4 and Chris Harvey 2-3.
