The Pirates have officially announced the broadcast schedule for this year's Spring Training. Five games will appear on ROOT Sports:

March 15 vs. Orioles (1:05pm)
March 17 vs. Astros (1:05pm)
March 18 vs. Tigers (6:05pm)
March 21 vs. Red Sox (1:05pm)
April 3 at Phillies (in Philadelphia; 7:05pm)

All other games will be broadcast either on Pirates.com or on 93.7 The Fan, except the Bucs' March 2 intrasquad game and their March 20 game against the Twins in Fort Myers (which will run at the same time as a Pirates game against the Phillies the same day anyway). Opening Day is April 6, in case you're wondering -- it's later than usual this year.

There will be less drama than usual in Bucs Spring Training this year, with there only being much uncertainty in the bullpen, but the five TV broadcasts will give us the opportunity to get early looks at new players like Jung-Ho Kang and perhaps Tyler Glasnow.
