The Pirates have announced their minor league staffs for next season. Here are their minor league managers.

Indianapolis: Dean Treanor
Altoona: Joey Cora
Bradenton: Michael Ryan
West Virginia Power: Brian Esposito
West Virginia Black Bears: Wyatt Toregas
Bristol: Edgar Varela
GCL: Milver Reyes
DSL: Mendy Lopez

Most of these guys are returning to positions they held last year. Cora, though, is new, and he seems eminently qualified for his position -- he was once a finalist for both the Brewers and Mariners' big-league manager jobs, and he also recently interviewed for the Padres' open job. He's served on big-league coaching staffs for the White Sox and Marlins. Previously, of course, he was a big-league infielder with the Padres, White Sox, Mariners and Indians.

2015 Curve manager Tom Prince will become the Pirates' minor league field coordinator. Scott Elarton, who served as the pitching coach for Bradenton last year, will become a Special Assistant, Baseball Operations, joining Kevin Young, Jamey Carroll and Grady Little.
