Manager Clint Hurdle has told the media that Andrew Lambo will make the Pirates' roster. Hurdle stopped short, however, of confirming that Stolmy Pimentel would do so in spite of Charlie Morton's trip to the disabled list. He stated only that Mark Melancon, Tony Watson, Antonio Bastardo, Arquimedes Caminero, Jared Hughes and Radhames Liz would be in the bullpen. That would seem to leave a bullpen spot for Pimentel, although, as Pirates Prospects points out at the link, it's possible the Pirates could go with a shorter bullpen for now and keep Pedro Florimon.
UPDATE by Charlie: The Pirates, and most teams, typically like to carry seven relievers, so if the Bucs do take Florimon instead of Pimentel, that would almost certainly be a temporary measure. Both Florimon and Pimentel are out of options. It's also possible the Bucs could swing some sort of trade. The Pirates have to set their roster by 3:00pm Sunday, although, Florimon and Pimentel aside, it mostly appears set already.
