-- Indianapolis stomped Norfolk, 9-1, in a game shortened to seven innings by rain. Casey Sadler (pictured) got a complete game with just 79 pitches, allowing the one run on two hits. He walked none and struck out six. Deibinson Romero went 3-5 with a double. Jose Tabata, Tony Sanchez and Gorkys Hernandez each went 2-4. Sanchez hit his second HR and Hernandez had two doubles. Alen Hanson was 0-4.
-- Altoona got seven shutout innings from Zack Dodson in a 4-2 win over Akron. Dodson gave up four hits, walked none and fanned eight. The hapless Josh Smith allowed the two runs. Keon Broxton was 2-3 with a double and Max Moroff 2-4 with a double. Josh Bell was 1-4.
-- Jayson Aquino, recently picked up from Toronto, threw seven shutout innings in his first outing for the Pirates. He gave up just three hits and a walk, and struck out four. Unfortunately, the bullpen coughed up five runs in the 8th and 9th innings as Bradenton lost to Palm Beach, 5-4. Jose Osuna was 3-4 with two doubles, Reese McGuire 2-5 and Wyatt Mathisen 2-4. Austin Meadows was 1-4 with a triple and Barrett "I'm not dead yet!" Barnes 1-3 with a double. JaCoby Jones hit his fourth HR.
-- West Virginia lost to Hagerstown, 5-2. Starter Alex McRae lasted only three batters into the 3rd inning. Jake Burnette replaced him and threw four and two-thirds hitless innings. He walked one and gave up an unearned run, and struck out eight. Cole Tucker was 3-4, and Elvis Escobar and Tito Polo each had two hits. Connor Joe was 1-4.
