Casey Sadler threw seven shutout innings, allowing three hits and a walk, and striking out four. Blake Wood blew a 1-0 lead in the 9th for his first blown save. A.J. Morris struck out three in an inning and a third to get the win. Alen Hanson went 3-5 and scored the winning run after hitting a double. He has a .958 OPS in May after posting just a .549 OPS in April. Wilkin Castillo went 4-5 and Deibinson Romero had two doubles.
-- Altoona edged Portland, 2-1. Jason Creasy gave up a run on six hits and a walk in seven innings. He struck out three. Keon Broxton went 2-4 and scored both runs. Max Moroff was 2-3 and Josh Bell 1-4.
-- Bradenton lost to Fort Myers, 7-2. Jayson Aquino's second start for the Pirates didn't go nearly as well as his first. He allowed all seven runs, four of them earned, on ten hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out three. The Marauders had only four hits. Austin Meadows and Barrett Barnes were each 0-4, Reese McGuire and JaCoby Jones each 1-3.
