Matt Morris Report: Luis Heredia does a little better

Indianapolis was off.

-- Altoona lost to Portland, 4-1.  Zack Dodson allowed all the runs in six innings on ten hits.  He walked none and struck out one.  Max Moroff was 2-5 with a double and Josh Bell 1-1 with a double and three walks.

-- Bradenton hammered Lakeland, 9-1.  After failing to finish the 1st inning in his first start, Luis Heredia lasted four this time.  He gave up the one run on four hits and two walks, while fanning two.  Edwin Espinal was 3-5 and six different players, including Austin Meadows, Erich Weiss and Jin-De Jhang, were 2-5.  JaCoby Jones was 0-5 with four strikeouts.  Reese McGuire and Barrett Barnes didn't play.

-- West Virginia suffered an odd, 5-4 loss to Delmarva.  Power pitchers allowed only three hits, but they all came in the 3rd inning, along with two hit batters and an error.  The inning was capped off by a grand slam.  Colten Brewer gave up all of it after breezing through the first two innings.  He was charged with five runs, four earned, in two and two-thirds.  Dovydas Neverauskas fanned six over the last five innings.  Only one batter reached base against him and that was on an error.  The Power managed only five hits.  Cole Tucker was 1-3 and Connor Joe 0-2.
