Matt Morris Report: Four hits for Josh Bell

-- Indianapolis lost to Syracuse, 5-3.  Clayton Richard gave up four runs in five innings, three of them coming on a HR by the opposing pitcher.  Richard allowed five hits and a walk, and struck out one.  Gustavo Nunez and Jaff Decker each went 2-4, and Deibinson Romero hit his sixth HR.  Alen Hanson was 0-4, his second straight hitless game since getting his average over .300.

-- Altoona clobbered New Hampshire, 11-3.  Josh Bell led the offense, going 4-5, all singles, with four RBIs.  Gift Ngoepe was 3-5 with a double and Keon Broxton 3-4.  Ngoepe is now hitting 356/440/507 in May.  Sebastian Valle and Dan Gamache each had two hits.  Max Moroff and Willy Garcia were 0-5.  Starter Angel Sanchez needed only 93 pitches to go eight innings.  He gave up two runs on six hits and a walk, while fanning four.

-- Bradenton edged Lakeland, 2-1.  Steven Brault went six innings, allowing the one run on six hits and a walk.  He struck out two.  JaCoby Jones went 2-4, Austin Meadows 1-3 and Reese McGuire 1-4.

-- West Virginia beat Delmarva, 4-2.  Yeudy Garcia (pictured) threw five shutout innings, allowing two hits and two walks, and fanning six.  Garcia now has a 1.70 ERA, with a .201 opponents' average and 36 Ks in 37 innings.  Tito Polo was 2-4 with a double and a triple, and Jordan Luplow hit his first HR.  Connor Joe was 0-4 and is now hitting .118.  Cole Tucker didn't play.
