With the Pirates getting a late start tonight, today might be a good one to try a minor league thread. Altoona already played (losing 9-5 to New Britain), but the other three affiliates are in action tonight. Here's what we've got.
-P- Adrian Sampson and Indianapolis face Toledo (Tigers) at 7:05.
-P- Cody Dickson and Bradenton take on the Daytona Tortugas (Reds) at 6:30. The Tortugas name is new, and their logo is awesome. Daytona used to host a Cubs affiliate called the Cubs, so they needed to rebrand once teams shuffled their affiliation. (It's always struck me as weird, though, that Indianapolis' nickname is the Indians. I know that must refer at least in part to the state of Indiana and that it needn't have any connection to the Cleveland franchise, but still.) Here's the Marauders' lineup, since it's out:
Austin Meadows CF
JaCoby Jones SS
Erich Weiss 2B
Jose Osuna 1B
Jin-De Jhang C
Harold Ramirez RF
Edwin Espinal DH
Michael Fransoso LF
Chris Diaz 3B
-P- Austin Coley and West Virginia will take on Delmarva (Orioles) at 7:05. Coley also faced Delmarva in his last start, striking out seven and walking one and allowing one run over six innings.
