The Dominican Summer League starts play tomorrow. The MMR will have full coverage . . . of the box score.
-- Keon Broxton (pictured) went deep in his first AAA at-bat and Indianapolis rallied for three runs in the bottom of the 8th to beat Toledo, 5-4. Starter Clayton Richard had a strong game, giving up no earned runs in seven innings, but his defense let him down in the 6th, leading to four unearned runs. A walk, a fielder's choice and a bunt thrown away by Tony Sanchez loaded the bases with nobody out. Richard came back to fan the next two hitters, but Crash Davis Mike Hessman hit a grand slam. Richard allowed just three hits and the one walk overall, while striking out four. Broxton finished 2-4, as did Steve Lombardozzi. Alen Hanson was 1-4 with a double.
-- Altoona edged Binghamton, 2-1, behind seven strong innings from Angel Sanchez. He gave up one run on five hits and two walks, and fanned six. Max Moroff was 2-3, Josh Bell 2-4, and Willy Garcia 1-3 with a triple and a walk. Jose Osuna made his AA debut, going 1-4 with a double.
