The previous 24 hours of draft coverage had me pretty burned out by the time this game happened, and I didn't see it or have a plan in place, so ... sorry about that. But it seems like this was pretty forgettable anyway.
Jason Rogers and Starling Marte traded solo homers in the second inning, and then Taylor Jungmann and Francisco Liriano engaged in a pitchers' duel for several more innings. Seeing "Francisco Liriano" and "pitchers' duel" in the same sentence checks out, but "Taylor Jungmann" and "pitchers' duel" doesn't -- it was Jungmann's big-league debut, and his minor-league track record is that of a fringe prospect at best. But that's the way it goes sometimes. Jungmann pitched seven innings, striking out five and walking one.
Meanwhile, in the seventh, Liriano gave up two runs on a walk and then a series of ground balls. Jared Hughes then pitched the ninth and gave up a homer to Aramis Ramirez.
