-- Indianapolis lost to Durham, 6-3. Casey Sadler struggled to throw strikes, taking 103 pitches to get through five innings. He gave up five runs, four earned, on six hits and four walks, and struck out four. Jaff Decker (pictured) was 2-4 with a double and a triple. Alen Hanson was 2-5 with a triple.
-- Bradenton edged Tampa, 3-2. Steven Brault went five and two-thirds. He gave up two runs on four hits and three walks, and struck out six. Michael Fransoso and Wyatt Mathisen each went 2-3. Reese McGuire was 1-3 with a double. Austin Meadows didn't play and is expected to miss a little more time due to a bruised hand.
-- West Virginia lost to Augusta, 5-2. Stephen Tarpley got hit around some, giving up five runs on ten hits in five and two-thirds innings. He walked two and struck out three. John Sever followed with three and a third scoreless innings. He gave up four hits and didn't walk or strike out anybody. Cole Tucker was 1-4 and Connor Joe 0-3.
-- The DSL Pirates beat the Brewers, 6-5. Mikell Granberry, Huascar Fuentes and Raul Hernandez each had two hits. Shortstop Christopher Perez, a 17-year-old who was one of the Pirates' more prominent signings last year, went 1-2 in his third game since returning from a minor injury.
