Pirates sign 4 more draft picks

The Pirates have formally announced the signings of second-round pick Kevin Kramer (who we already noted elsewhere) and three other draftees: 20th-rounder Tanner Anderson, 21st-rounder Nicholas Economos and 30th-rounder Mike Wallace. Kramer will head to Morgantown, Anderson and Wallace will go to Bristol, and Economos will go to the GCL.

Anderson is a college senior (a righty from Harvard), so it's unsurprising that he signed. Economos was a junior-college pitcher, but I don't believe he was committed to a top college program. Wallace was a junior at Fairfield in Connecticut. None of them appear to be top prospects, but at this point, you never know.

Finally, 12th-rounder Ty Moore, a junior outfielder from UCLA, tweets that he signed.

Moore was a strong hitter in college, and he hit well in the Cape Cod League. Terms of his bonus haven't yet been revealed, but I assume he required some relatively significant financial incentive to sign.

To the best of my knowledge, the Pirates have now signed or agreed to terms with the following players:

1. SS Kevin Newman
1. 3B Ke'Bryan Hayes
2. SS Kevin Kramer
3. OF Casey Hughston
6. RHP J.T. Brubaker
8. RHP Seth McGarry
9. RHP Bret Helton
12. OF Ty Moore
20. RHP Tanner Anderson
21. RHP Nicholas Economos
22. RHP Nathan Trevillian
30. RHP Mike Wallace
