Pirates sign 27th round draft pick

The Pirates have signed their 27th round draft pick, outfielder Ryan Nagle, for a bonus of $160,000.  That's $60,000 above the slot amount for all picks after round 10.  Nagle was drafted out of the University of Illinois, where he hit 339/401/439 as a junior after not hitting much his previous two years.  He appears to be more of a line-drive hitter than a power hitter.
