Tyler Glasnow and Josh Bell have made Baseball America's midseason top 50 prospects list (subscribers only). Glasnow is ranked No. 7, while Bell is at No. 45, with BA noting that Bell has struggled to hit for both power and average at the same time.
Glasnow and Bell's placements seemed about right. I was surprised, though, that Austin Meadows wasn't on the list. BA had him at No. 41 before the season, and one would think the year he's having at Bradenton would be good enough that he'd still be in at least that range, even though he struggled somewhat in June. That's especially true given the number of top prospects who've graduated to the majors since then (Kris Bryant, Carlos Correa, Byron Buxton, Addison Russell, Miguel Sano, Carlos Rodon, Noah Syndergaard, Steven Matz, and so on). BA also bumped Jameson Taillon out of the top 50, which makes more sense to me.
