Sorry about the absence yesterday. Couldn't be helped.
Morgantown got rained out.
-- Altoona managed only three hits, losing to Bowie in both the game, 3-0, and the series, 3-1. Jason Creasy gave up three solo HRs in the first two innings and that was all the scoring. Adam Frazier had two singles and Jacob Stallings a double. Austin Meadows went 0-2 with two walks.
-- A strong start by Yeudy Garcia (pictured) went for naught in the decisive game of West Virginia's three-game series with Hickory. Garcia allowed one run over five and two-thirds innings, but the Power couldn't get on the board and lost, 1-0. Garcia gave up four hits and a walk, and fanned seven. The Power had just six singles. They had a shot in the 9th when Elvis Escobar and Connor Joe singled with two out, but Taylor Gushue lined out to end the game and the Power's season. Jerrick Suiter went 2-4.
