Starling Marte has won his second straight Gold Glove award, topping Adam Duvall and Christian Yelich in being named the best defensive left fielder in the NL.

Marte had the second highest UZR in the National League at the position, with 7.5, and led the field with 19 Defensive Runs Saved. He also easily led the league with 17 assists, finishing five ahead of Ryan Braun.

A certain subset of Pirates fans has clamored for years about Marte replacing Andrew McCutchen in center field, and perhaps that will eventually come to pass if McCutchen is traded. For now, though, Marte provides the Bucs with ample value, but with his speed and his arm, in left.

Other NL Gold Glove winners included Buster Posey, Anthony Rizzo, Joe Panik, Brandon Crawford, Nolan Arenado, Ender Inciarte, Jason Heyward and Zack Greinke. In the AL, Salvador Perez, Mitch Moreland, Ian Kinsler, Francisco Lindor, Adrian Beltre, Brett Gardner, Kevin Kiermaier, Mookie Betts and Dallas Keuchel took home awards.
