Pirates minor league open thread: Jameson Taillon has another strong game

With the big-league team unexpectedly off today, here's a thread to follow today's minor-league action.

-P- Indianapolis is in the midst of an eighth-inning rain delay in their game in Norfolk (Orioles), with Indy protecting a 5-3 lead. Jameson Taillon had another strong outing, allowing one run and his first two walks of the year while striking out seven in seven innings. Max Moroff has homered. I'll leave the rest of the recapping to Wilbur.

-P- Altoona is off.

-P- Bradenton hosts Palm Beach (Cardinals) at 6:30. Alex McRae starts for the Marauders. In his last outing, the 2014 10th-round pick allowed four runs while walking two and striking out none in four innings against St. Lucie.

-P- West Virginia hosts Rome (Braves) at 7:05. Starting for the Power will be J.T. Brubaker, the 2015 sixth-round pick who's off to a fine start this season, with a 2.14 ERA, 25 strikeouts and nine walks in 21 innings thus far. On the hill for Rome will be Touki Toussaint, the 2014 first-round pick who headed from the Diamondbacks to the Braves in a controversial salary-dumping trade last July.
