-- Jose Osuna's second AAA HR was Indianapolis' (50-50) only hit in a 1-0 win over Charlotte.  Trevor Williams battled former Pirate Chris Volstad, with Williams allowing just three hits over eight innings.  He walked none, struck out five and threw 71 of 97 pitches for strikes.  In his last five starts, covering 34 innings, Williams has allowed three earned runs, 16 hits and three walks, while striking out 24.

Max Moroff, Jason Rogers, Willy Garcia:  all 0-3

-- Altoona (52-45) lost to Akron, 7-1.  Clay Holmes couldn't throw strikes; he walked five, while allowing five runs and five hits, in four innings.  Holmes struck out three and threw just 46 of 88 pitches for strikes.  The Curve had eight hits, but went 1-10 with RISP.

-- Bradenton (51-45) lost to Daytona, 5-3.  Yeudy Garcia allowed four runs, two earned, in six innings.  He gave up six hits and a walk, struck out five, and threw 63 of 89 pitches for strikes.  Garcia actually pitched very well until four hits in the sixth resulted in two runs.  Two runs scored in the third on a bloop and two errors.  Tito Polo went 2-5 with his third HR at the level, and drove in all three of the Marauders' runs.  Elvis Escobar and Erik Lunde each went 2-4.

-- West Virginia (49-47) lost to Charleston, 5-4.  Dario Agrazal got hammered for 11 hits and five runs over five innings.  Casey Hughston went 2-5 with a double.

-- Morgantown (16-17) beat Connecticut, 7-1.  The Black Bears had 13 hits, with the bottom four hitters in the order (Kevin Krause, Kevin Mahala, Chris Harvey and Clark Eagan) going a combined 10-12 with two doubles and a walk.  Danny Beddes gave up a run on four hits and a walk in six innings.  He struck out four.

-- Bristol (13-14) beat Bluefield, 5-2.  Michael De La Cruz went 3-4 and Yoel Gonzalez 2-3 with three RBIs.  Nicholas Economos struggled with his control, walking six in four and a third innings.  He gave up two runs and three hits, and struck out three.

-- The GCL Pirates (10-14) lost to the Phillies, 8-3.  Second round draft pick Travis MacGregor had some trouble, giving up two runs on three hits and three walks in three innings.  He struck out one.

-- The DSL Pirates (15-25) lost to the Indians, 7-4.  Roger Santana gave up four runs, two earned, on seven hits in four and two-thirds innings.  He walked none and struck out five.  Larry Alcime was 2-4 with a double.
