Cannonballs coming: Cole Tucker is heating up

Altoona was rained out.

-- Indianapolis (55-53) lost to Norfolk, 10-4.  Kyle Lobstein got torched, allowing eight runs on ten hits and four walks in four and two-thirds innings.  Jason Rogers went 3-4 with a double and Alen Hanson 2-3 with a walk and a triple.  Josh Bell went 0-2 and then came out of the game, probably because things were out of hand.  Elias Diaz was 1-4.

-- Bradenton (55-49) won a slugfest from Daytona, 12-6.  Cole Tucker went 3-5 with three RBIs, and Chase Simpson was 2-4 with two walks, his seventh HR, three runs and three RBIs.  Tucker is 9-for-20 in his last five games.  Austin Coley gave up five runs, four earned, in six innings.

Tito Polo:  2-6
Kevin Kramer:  1-3, 2B, 2 BB
Connor Joe:  1-6, 2B, 3 K
Elvis Escobar:  2-4, 2B, BB, 3 RBI

-- West Virginia (51-53) got shut out by Delmarva, 6-0.  Starter Bret Helton gave up six runs in six innings.  The Power managed only five hits.  West Virginia has the South Atlantic League's second-worst offense by scoring (third-worst by OPS) despite having the second-oldest hitters.

Mitchell Tolman:  0-3
Daniel Arribas:  2-3, BB

-- Morgantown (20-21) lost to Auburn, 3-2, on a walkoff single in the ninth.  Starter Stephan Meyer gave up two runs on four hits in six innings.  He walked one and struck out two.  Will Craig was 2-4 with a double and Clark Eagan 2-4 with a triple.  Austin Meadows went 1-3 with a double in another rehab appearance.

Stephen Alemais:  1-4

-- Bristol (16-20) lost to Elizabethton, 6-3.  Matt Eckelman, who'd been pitching well, gave up four runs on six hits and a walk in four and a third innings.  He struck out one.  The league-worst Pirates' offense continued its futility; they had only four hits and struck out a dozen times.  Huascar went 2-3 with a walk and his second HR, and drove in all three runs.

Garrett Brown:  0-4, BB
Adrian Valerio:  0-4

-- The GCL Pirates (14-18) lost to the Yankees East, 3-2, in a game limited by rain to seven innings.  Max Kranick gave up three runs, only one earned, in four innings.  He allowed three hits and a walk, and struck out none.  Mikell Granberry and Paul Brands each went 2-3
