The GCL Pirates had a doubleheader washed out.
-- Steven Brault struggled again as slumping Indianapolis (58-60) lost to Buffalo, 9-3. Brault allowed just one run over the first five innings, but gave up three in the sixth and got only one out in the inning. Overall he allowed eight hits and four walks, while striking out three. Dovydas Neverauskas and John Kuchno followed Brault and let the game get out of hand. Elias Diaz went 2-4 and Pedro Florimon hit his fourth HR.

-- Altoona (63-51) beat Harrisburg, 9-7. Elvis Escobar went 3-4 with three runs scored, Erich Weiss 3-5 with a double, and Jin-De Jhang 3-4 with a double. Barrett Barnes and Stetson Allie each homered. For Barnes, who was 2-3, the longball was just his second. Allie's was his 11th. Brandon Waddell gave up four runs, only one of them earned, on six hits in five innings. He walked two and struck out three.

-- Bradenton (57-56) scored five runs in the first, but ultimately fell to Palm Beach, 8-7. Jordan Luplow was 2-4 with a three-run HR, his sixth longball. Taylor Gushue, who came into the game with a second-half OPS of .487, hit his seventh HR and went 2-3 with a walk. Buddy Borden gave up five runs in three innings, leaving him with an ERA of 8.02 since returning to the Pirates' organization.

-- Casey Hughston hit a walkoff, two-run HR in the bottom of the ninth as West Virginia won the first game of its doubleheader with Greensboro, 4-2. Hughston's HR was his eighth. He also had a triple, but he fanned three times. The Power had only four hits. Logan Sendelbach gave up two runs on six hits in six and two-thirds innings. He walked none and struck out seven.

The Power completed the sweep with a 5-3 win in game two. Yunior Montero went five innings and allowed two runs on just three hits and a walk. He fanned six. Carlos Munoz went 2-3 with a double.

-- Morgantown (23-28) beat State College, 7-4. Stephen Alemais went 3-5 with a double and Albert Baur 3-3 with two walks. Stephen Meyer gave up a run on six hits in six innings. He walked two and struck out two. Jason Creasy threw two scoreless innings in a rehab outing.

-- Bristol (18-27) beat Kingston in walkoff fashion, 8-7. Jhoan Herrera (pictured) went 2-4 with a walk. The hits were his third HR and a single to end the game in the ninth. Herrera drove in three runs, as did Raul Siri, who was 2-4 with a double. Matt Eckelman had a rough start, allowing seven runs, although four of them were unearned.

-- The DSL Pirates (23-33) pounded out 15 hits in an 8-0 blanking of the Cubs1. Francisco Mepris went 4-5. Starter Roger Santana continued pitching well, throwing five innings and allowing just three hits and a walk, while striking out four.
