Pirates release 2017 schedule

The Pirates have released their schedule for the 2017 season.

Here are some highlights.

-P- The Bucs will open their season April 3 on the road at Fenway (!). They'll have their home opener Friday, April 7 against the Braves, followed by a series against the Reds.

-P- They'll host the Yankees for a three-game series beginning April 21.

-P- In more interleague action, they'll host the Rays June 27-29.

-P- They'll have perhaps their nastiest road trip in late July, when they'll hit Colorado, San Francisco and San Diego for nine games in 10 days.

-P- Beginning August 7, they'll play two games at home and two on the road against the Tigers, then head to Toronto for a three-game series.

-P- They'll host the Orioles for two games September 26 and 27.

-P- They'll finish out their regular season with a four-game series on the road against the Nationals, ending October 1.
