Almost-winter meetings rumors

I thought I’d put up a thread for this, with the meetings starting tomorrow, ‘cause, y’know, the Pirates might do something.

The big rumor, of course, is that Stanton-to-the-Yankees is just about done. The latest version has Starlin Castro and second-tier prospects going back.

One Pirates-related rumor, which sounds strictly like speculation, is the Mets possibly looking into Josh Harrison. They’ve supposedly discussed Jason Kipnis with the Indians and Ian Kinsler with the Tigers. Kinsler would seem like the obvious move, because the Tigers are unequivocally in sell mode and the Pirates seem to be trapped in a directionless purgatory.
