Minor league thread: Holmes, Hearn and Vieaux starting

In case anybody cares about baseball any more . . . .

The Pirates have an off day today. Or the pitchers have an off day. The hitters will just be hitting the “snooze” button again. Anyway, here’s a minor league thread, or just a general purpose thread if needed. Altoona is off and Indianapolis has a morning game.

Durham at Indianapolis, 11:05 AM
Clay Holmes (0-1, 11.57 ERA) starts for Indianapolis. Holmes obviously hasn’t had a good start to his season, due to significant command problems.

Clearwater at Bradenton, 6:30 PM
Taylor Hearn (1-1, 2.31 ERA) is on the mound for the Marauders. Hearn so far has not had the control problems that are probably his biggest concern going forward.

Lakewood at West Virginia, 7:05 PM
Cam Vieaux (0-0, 1.74 ERA) pitches for the Power. He’s in a bit of a no-win situation, as a major college draftee pitching in low A, thanks to a logjam in the rotation at Bradenton. So far he’s pretty much done what he needs to do.
