Bucs Dugout is looking to add a few more writers to its staff. We’re looking for a couple writers to handle a recap or two per week, perhaps some breaking news, and a writer to provide regular statistical analysis.

These will likely not start out as paid positions, though it is possible to eventually receive a small stipend.

We’re particularly looking for those already engaged with the Pirates and their online communities — regular Bucs Dugout commenters and those who have written about the Pirates elsewhere will receive particular consideration. We want writers already well acquainted with the Pirates, who can connect with a knowledgeable, passionate audience.

Please send at least two samples of your writing — FanPosts or particularly useful Bucs Dugout comments count. Also, please include your Bucs Dugout screen name and Twitter handle (if applicable) and a few sentences to tell us a little about who you are (where you live, what you do for a living, writing experience, etc.). If you’ve applied in the past, you are strongly encouraged to apply again.

Please send all materials to bucsdugoutwriters@gmail.com.
