— Indianapolis (26-21) lost to Rochester, 3-2, in 12 innings. Steven Brault allowed only one run, but ran into pitch count issues that limited him to four and two-thirds innings. It took him 107 pitches, only 62 of them strikes, to get that far. He gave up six hits and five walks, while striking out five. He had help from two double plays, one of them resulting from a batter’s interference call on old friend Matt Hague. Josh Lindblom made a rehab appearance, walking one and striking out three in two scoreless innings. Antonio Bastardo threw a scoreless inning in his own rehab, giving up a double and a walk, and striking out one. The Indians had a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the ninth, but an error set up the tying run. They finally conceded the game by putting Joey Terdoslavich in to pitch the 12th and he gave up a walkoff hit. Indy had only seven hits and struck out a dozen times. Terdoslavich hit his first HR.
