— Altoona (15-10) rallied in the top of the ninth to tie its game with Akron, 2-2. Miguel Rosario, though, put the first two batters on in the bottom half via a walk and hit batsman, then gave up a walkoff double for a 3-2 loss. The Curve managed only five hits, with Connor Joe going 2-3 with a walk to raise his average to .300. Brandon Waddell returned from the disabled list to make the start. He was limited to three innings, but allowed just a walk and fanned six. Jared Lakind, who’s struggling a lot this year, gave up two runs to put Akron ahead, 2-1.

Hill’s HR was his seventh, tied for the Florida State League lead. Krause’s was his fourth. Mitchell Tolman went 2-2 with a double and four runs scored. Starter Pedro Vasquez gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out four.
