— Indianapolis (11-16) roughed up a struggling Lucas Giolito in a 5-3 win over Charlotte. (Adam Eaton’s injury notwithstanding, that trade may not be the steal for the White Sox that it was portrayed to be.) Drew Hutchison got off to his typically rough start, with a 28-pitch first inning that included two hits and two walks, but only one run. He settled in after that, going six and two-thirds, allowing just the one run on four hits and four walks. He fanned six. Adam Frazier made his first rehab appearance, playing seven innings at second and going 1-3 with a double and a walk. Erich Weiss was 2-4 with a triple.

Austin Meadows: 1-4, BB
Elias Diaz: 1-4
Dan Runzler: 0.1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, BB
Edgar Santana: 2 IP, K, Sv

— Altoona (17-11) couldn’t get any offense going and dropped a 3-1 game to Richmond. Starter Alex McRae needed only 80 pitches to get through seven innings. He allowed a run on six hits and a walk, and struck out four. Luis Heredia gave up two runs in the eighth to take the loss.

Kevin Kramer: 1-4
Jordan Luplow: 0-2, 2 BB

— Bradenton (19-13) beat Jupiter, 3-1. Dario Agrazal went six innings, allowing a run on just three hits and a walk. He fanned seven. Bret Helton and Daniel Zamora combined to strike out another seven in three scoreless innings of relief. The Marauders meanwhile couldn’t do much against some rehabbing guy named Locke. Bradenton did better after he was out, though, putting up enough runs for the win. Will Craig went 2-3 with a walk and his second HR. Cole Tucker was 2-4 with a triple, and also got picked off base, stalling his stolen base spree for a day.

Ke’Bryan Hayes: 0-3, SF
Christian Kelley: 0-4
Casey Hughston: 0-3, BB

— West Virginia (15-17) stranded 16 runners in a 6-3 loss to Lexington. The Power had a dozen hits, four walks and three hit batsmen, but couldn’t take enough advantage. Starter Matt Anderson allowed four runs, only one of them earned, on seven hits in five innings. (It looks to me from the game log like at least three of the runs should be earned.) He walked one and fanned six. Alexis Bastardo was 4-5 and Arden Pabst 3-5 with a double.

Stephen Alemais: 0-6
Ty Moore: 0-3, BB
Hunter Owen: 2-4, 2B, HBP (10 HBPs in 28 games)
Eduardo Vera: 3 IP, 2 R, ER, 2 K
