Game Thread: Rockies at Pirates, Game 2

Gerrit Cole (3-6, 4.83) tries to right the ship against the Rockies, still the NL’s winningest team after being manhandled last night by Jameson Taillon.

The Rockies send right-hander Tyler Chatwood to the mound (6-7, 4.37), who throws either his fastball or 2-seamer 70% of the time at 94 mph and curve only 12%

Adam Frazier returns to the lineup in left field in his familiar leadoff spot, as Josh Harrison returns to second base.

As of this writing at 6:25 p.m. looks like there’s a high chance the game’s start will be delayed by rain but it will get underway later.
