The Pirates have placed top prospect Austin Meadows on Triple-A Indianapolis’ seven-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain.
Meadows, ranked the Pirates’ No. 1 prospect pretty much across the board on 2017 lists, was removed early from Indianapolis’ game Wednesday.
The 22-year-old outfielder had a slow start to the year, but heated up in May. He currently sports a .248/.313/.358 line with four home runs and 16 doubles.
