— Morgantown (13-8) lost to Hudson Valley, 7-4. Gavin Wallace gave up five runs on six hits in four and two-thirds innings. He walked one and struck out five. Dylan Busby (pictured) seems to be getting the bat going, as he went 2-4 with a double. Tristan Gray was 2-3 with a double and a walk.

— The GCL Pirates (3-11) broke their nine-game skid with a 5-3 win over the Braves. Five pitchers combined to allow just three hits. Sixth-round pick Cody Bolton made his pro debut, pitching the first two innings. He gave up a run in the first on a single, a steal and another single. Those were the only hits. Bolton walked none and fanned three. Hector Garcia made his first rehab appearance following a shoulder injury with a 1-2-3 inning. Stephen Alemais, who’s due to return to West Virginia shortly, went 2-3 with a double and a walk. Seventeenth rounder Mason Martin got his first pro hit, going 1-3 with a walk.
