MLB All-Star Game 2017 Open Thread: Josh Harrison represents the Pirates

The MLB All-Star Game is tonight at 8:00 on Fox. If you’d like to chat about it, why not do so right here? Remember, the All-Star Game no longer determines home-field advantage in the World Series.

Josh Harrison is the only Pirates representative; he’ll be on the National League’s bench. Have some fun with this: Without looking, when was the last time the Pirates had just one all-star, and who was it?

Perhaps tonight will rekindle warm memories of trying not to fall asleep before Jason Kendall or Brian Giles got a pinch-hit appearance, or waiting to see Mike Williams get up in the bullpen.

If it’s minor league baseball you seek, the West Virginia Black Bears play at Hudson Valley at 7:05 p.m. in a game that appears to be available on MiLB.tv. Sergio Cubilete gets the start for the Black Bears.

Here are the all-star lineups:

  5. Carlos Correa, SS
