— Jacob Stallings and Danny Ortiz each drove in four runs and Indianapolis (48-38) batters went deep seven times in a 21-1 laugher against Columbus. (Seven of the runs came after Columbus put a catcher in to pitch the ninth.) Tyler Glasnow had a strong outing, going five and two-thirds, with the last inning and two-thirds coming after a brief rain delay. Glasnow gave up five hits and one run, walked two and fanned seven. He threw 63 of 94 pitches for strikes. The Indians played longball against a rehabbing Danny Salazar, with Chris Bostick, Danny Ortiz and Jacob Stallings (pictured) all hitting solo shots, their 7th, 6th and 2nd HRs, respectively. The onslaught only increased after Salazar was gone, as Indy eventually pounded out 22 hits and drew a dozen walks. They also hit four more HRs: a three-run shot by Ortiz, his 7th; Joey Terdoslavich’s 3rd HR, also a three-run blast; Eric Wood’s 10th; and Jordan Luplow’s 3rd in AAA and 19th overall. Stallings went 3-3 on the day, also hitting two doubles. Luplow was 3-5 with two walks and four runs scored. Columbus pitchers evidently had had enough after that and walked Stallings his last three times up. Starling Marte went 0-3 and threw a runner out at home. He came out shortly after the rain delay.
