Apparently, the Rangers have a bot that automatically claims any relief pitcher the Pirates put on waivers. After claiming Brady Dragmire 317 times (that’s a rough approximation), they’ve now claimed Jhan Marinez, whom the Pirates designated for assignment when they dragooned George Kontos from the Giants. Marinez finishes his Pirates career (until the next round of waiver pong) with an 0-1 record and 3.18 ERA over 24 games and 34 innings.
