In advance of Wednesday night’s game against the Cubs the Pirates’ twitter account posted manager Clint Hurdle’s time-honored, veteran-laden lineup, with the exception of right fielder Sean Rodriguez being moved up to the number two slot while left fielder Starling Marte is dropped once again to six.
While the Pirates go with nine right-handed batters against the Cubs’ left-hander Jose Quintana (8-11, 4.49), the home team will have only five left-handers batting against Pirates’ starter Ivan Nova (11-11, 3.97)
