Just two players, plus a handful of appearances by Jacob Stallings, to consider here. It’s pretty remarkable, given the injuries Francisco Cervelli suffered, that the Pirates needed only 91 innings and 41 plate appearances (not counting pinch-hit at-bats by Ryan Lavarnway) from any catcher other than Cervelli or Elias Diaz.
