The Pirates have placed reliever A.J. Schugel on the 10-day disabled list. It also appears that today’s rainout won’t affect their rotation.
The Pirates put A.J. Schugel on the DL, retroactive to Monday. No change in the rotation order. Nova-Williams-Kuhl this weekend.

Schugel was shut down with shoulder soreness after just one outing this spring. There hasn’t been any reported timetable for his return. His 2016 season ended early due to similar problems, which may also have contributed to a terrible start to his 2017 season. He’s out of options, so the Pirates will have a decision to make when he finishes a rehab assignment, whenever that is.
