The Pirates will promote Nick Kingham to start on Sunday against St. Louis.
Nick Kingham will start for the Pirates on Sunday, per source, in his MLB debut. He was on the doorstep in 2015 before he was derailed by Tommy John surgery. He has a 1.59 ERA in four AAA starts this season.

This will be his major league debut. The move appears to have been necessitated by the Pirates getting out of their rotation because of the doubleheader on Wednesday. It’s possible Kingham will be up for only the one game, but that’s not clear yet. It’s also uncertain yet what the corresponding move will be.
Kingham has been pitching extremely well at Indianapolis. In four starts, he has a 1.59 ERA, with 15 hits and seven walks allowed in 22.2 IP, and 27 strikeouts.
